Team Practices Reopening Guidelines
To ensure we have a safe reopening for team practices, here are a few things each gymnast is responsible for when you return to the gym:-
Team Gymnasts must bring a bag containing:-
a) water bottle(s)
b) hand sanitizer
c) grips
d) wrist guards
e) Face mask - it is recommended by state but not mandatory. We understand that it is challenging to have a full work out with mask on.
f) athletic tape
g) own theraband (We have some sold at the gym if you need one)Put your child’s name on EVERYTHING - including your uniquely-distinctive bag. This is so that she will be able to spot it and find it right away.
Wipe down and disinfect the bags when it ARRIVES back at home and BEFORE it enters the gym.
We encourage kids to be dropped off and picked up and limited viewing at the gym.
Practices will NOT have snack breaks.
Bring sneakers. We might make use of the outdoor area if weather permits.
Gym’s preparation for reopening:-
Spotting or physically correcting the gymnasts will be minimal to none. The goal is to work on the skills they know and do drills that will support the new skills in the future.
Girls will be separated into smaller groups for team practices.
Team girls will help sanitize their station after their own rotation - that helps to speed up and also allow a safer environment for everyone.
There will be marks in front of the bathrooms *6 ft apart*.
Team locker room will be off-limits for the time being and we will designate a temporary spot for girls to put their bags.
